Luckily, that didn’t deter her and she continued her flying journey as she got older.
After graduating college with a business degree, she decided flying planes would be more fun and quickly worked her way to earn her ratings and is now a CFI, CFII and Part 135 cargo pilot out of Sacramento.
In her free time, Kristina enjoys snowboarding and flying her (dad’s) 1948 Luscombe 8E around NorCal. Her favorite part of instructing is getting to have a hand in the sheer excitement of students when they finally accomplish something they once struggled with. “Instructing is flying a plane with your words”. She is honored to have the privilege to help the next generation of female pilots achieve their goals.

I’ve been flying since I was 16 years old and have over 4,500 hours of flight time.

However, Alyssa did not decide to pursue aviation until after graduating from college. She put herself through flight training with a local flying club and her ultimate goal was reaching the airlines. She was then introduced to Girls Love to Fly during her instrument training, and is beyond excited to share what this organization has to offer with more aspiring pilots. Outside of flying, Alyssa enjoys traveling, working out, and riding her horse Finnegan!

I got my start flying in general aviation strictly for a fun hobby initially before falling in love with flying, purchasing my own airplane, and pursuing it as a career. Hi, I'm Skye and I have been an aviation enthusiast since I was a kid building model airplanes. I love the culture, the people, the adventure, the challenges, and the physics of it all. I started out skydiving wing-suits, and BASE jumping off cliffs. One thing led to another, I pursued my private pilot license, and was hooked on flying. I
