Very small, supercooled droplets that freeze on contact.  ( Most Common ice) Milky or opaque appearance with air bubbles that become trapped between frozen droplets. Climb to get above the clouds to a colder level before you can not climb at all.  If you can't do that see if you are able to get to a warmer level below the clouds.

Large close to freezing droplets that flow back across the wing before freezing. Hard ,  glossy, heavy and hard to dislodge.  This is not often seen. Associated with large cumulus clouds and turbulence. Get out of it to a warmer sport asap!

Indicated warmer temperatures above. Example winter warm front and a slowly moving cold front

TRACE - Not much just a small amount

LIGHT - If flight is over an hour it may be an issue

MODERATE -

Broken is 5/8 to 7/8 coverage of clouds
